Heart of PH

Marinduque is an island province tagged to be the heart of the Philippines. Simply because it is heart-shaped ,and is located at the upper left of Ph, like a human heart if Ph is a living person. Marinduque is not a popular travel destination, but it is comparably beautiful with the rest of Ph's top tourist spots. Consider knowing her and you'll surely fall in love.

10:00pm =ETD at Jac Liner Buendia
There are buses that travel to Lucena (Dalahican Port) every hour. It leaves as soon as it's full of passengers.

10:00pm- 1:30am = Bus to Dalahican Port at Lucena Quezon (P220)
Ferry schedules vary depending on season and sea posture. We were able to catch the 2am trip, but we decided to board the next ferry sched ,because there were too many passengers. We were kinda paranoid about sinking chos haha, we just wanted a siksikan-free travel.

3:30-6:30 am= Ferry to Mogpog Marinduque (P130)
Usual price is P260, I dunno why we got it discounted.

Day 1

6:30-7:00 am= Jeep to Boac (P50)
Mode of transportation in Marinduque are jeeps and vans. You can travel the whole of Marinduque in one-two days. It's easy to go around, you wouldn't get lost for sure. Locals and drivers are honest, they don't haggle and add high fees/fares to tourists. Marinduque is also one of the safest provinces in Ph. It has a record of having the second to the lowest crime rate in Ph, the first is Batanes with almost zero crime rates everyday! YES, MAY PAG-ASA ANG PINAS!!!

7:00-9:00 am= Walk around Boac ( Ancestral houses, Boac Church)

*8:00am= Breakfast at Kusina sa Plaza (P90).
They have variety of meals from silogs, burgers, pastas, lomi, to canton etc. Their Tapsilog is a thumbs up, it's mouthwatering, soft, chewy, and savory .Silog lovers you should try this out.

9:00-9:30 am= Trike to Capitol (P10)
We went to the Provincial Capitol and inquired at the tourism office. There are pamphlets of suggested itineraries for every town and also a one-day Marinduque tour.

9:30-10:30 am= Jeep to Buenavista  Market (P40)
10:30-10:35= Trike to Malbog Sulfur Hot Spring Resort  (P10)
10:35-11:00am= Dip at the hot spring  (P25)
Sulfur is healthy for the skin but it leaves a certain smell. Immersing at hot springs should only be 15-20 min max, might increase body temp too much.  Water here is lukewarm so you can dip longer.

Tiny bubbles are all over our body hihi. It's because of sulfur's reaction.

11:00-11:30am= Marinduque Hot Spring Resort (P50)
Yes, there's another hot spring nearby ,but not sulfured. Its resort is more developed and water is warmer. The water that goes down the spring is from Mt. Malindig (volcano).

*WE CAN STILL SMELL THE SULFUR ON OUR BODY HIHU.

11:30am-12:30nn= Jeep back to Boac (P40)
We fell asleep along the way, so we weren't able to stop at Gasan haha. You can dropped by at Gasan and visit St. Joseph Parish Church.

12:30-3:00pm= Lunch at Kusina sa Plaza (2nd Floor) (P135)
We enjoyed chatting that we lost track of time hihi. The place gives you a Spanish era feels and their meals are oh-delisyoso.

3:00-400pm= Jeep to Sta. Cruz Market (P45)
4:00-5:00pm= Jeep to Poctoy, Torrijos (P40)

Tell the driver to drop you off at Poctoy Beach Arch. Beach is just a 5 minute walk from the highway. Poctoy is a public beach but you have to pay an environmental/entrance fee of P30.

5:30pm= Checked-in at Poctoy White Beach Resort (P400)
5:45 onwards = BEACH BUM
8:30 pm= Dinner (P65)

We love the locals, they are easy to communicate with since they have no local dialect, they speak deep Tagalog. We lost our room keys along the shore and thank God some honest local surrendered it to the resort huhu praise God talaga!!! Sobrang bait ng mga tao dito.

Day 2

We woke up early and strolled along the beach. This is literally a "We woke up like this pic" LOL.

Wouldn't it be nice to have a daily dose of Vitamin SEA?! I think I am a mermaid  my past life, hihi. I love the sea, sooo muchooo!

7:30-8:30am= Jeep/ UV to Sta. Cruz. (P40)
Tell the driver to drop you off Buyabod Port.
8:30-8:35am= trike to Buyabod Port (P10)
8:35-9:00= Breakfast (P60)
9:00-9:30= Mangrove Park
