CEBOHOL

Bohol and Cebu are one of the most famous tourist destinations in Ph. These travel picks are known for its rich ecotourism and cultural history. And they definitely earn those top spots, so make sure to get to know and experience them, at least before aiming to go to international travel destinations. These places are also perfect for solo travelers, it's safe and easy to go around. If you wanna hit these two birds with one stone (one travel time), I suggest that you book a multi-city ticket so you can fully explore these destinations without wasting travel time.

BOHOL

Day 1

From Bohol International Airport we went straight to Panglao and checked-in near Alona Beach. The weather was gloomy during our stay, yet we still enjoyed the beauty of the pristine beach. We stayed at the shore 'till late night and shared stories over balut yumyum.

Day 2

The tourism center is in Panglao Island,  just beside Hennan Resort. There you can book a package for a one-day countryside Bohol tour. The package is worth P2400, it's actually just a car rental, food and fees are excluded. Luckily we met Rosana Garcia, a Brazilian solo traveler ,who joined with us. Now we are four in the group, so we paid less ,yey!
*Hi Rosana, we miss you. Hope we can bumped into you again. Thank you for inspiring us to travel more and explore the rest of the world. Enjoy your 6-month long South America Trip.
*Rosana is a single woman who's in her late 40's. She quit her job 3 years ago and is now currently traveling around the globe. Isn't she awesome?

Our first stop is at the Philippine Tarsier Sanctuary. Entrance fee is P50.

Four Commandments
* You shall not take pictures (with flash).
* You shall not feed them.
* You shall not touch them.
* You shall not disturbed them (if sleeping).

Tarsiers can't handle stress well, because they are suicidal by nature. If they got depressed or stressed, they will intentionally stop to breathe and die in a few minutes.

For an entrance fee of P20, you can meet and greet Phyton Prony. Plus you get a chance to take a picture with him haha , scary yet thrilling.

We stopped by at Bilar Man-made Forest, a two-kilometer stretch of Mahogany planted trees along the highway of Bilar. This is a reforestation project of the Boholanos 50 years ago. This is indeed an inspiration that we, as stewards of this earth, should take part in keeping this world a better place to live, especially for the next generation.

Welcome to the famous geological formation in Carmen Bohol, the Chocolate Hills.

For P500 ,you can have a buffet lunch at Loboc River Cruise,  watch the Loboc Children choir and dance with them. The cruise usually runs for an hour or so back and fourth.

This is the Baclayon Church ruins that was hit last 2013 by a 7.2 magnitude earthquake.

Clarin Ancestral House

Sta. Monica Church is one of the few churches which was not destroyed during the 2013 earthquake.

Our last stop before heading to Cebu City is the Blood Compact Shrine in Tagbilaran City.

CEBU CITY

Day 3
From  Tagbilaran City, Cebu is a 1.5 hour ferry ride away.

What to do in Cebu City for one day?

1. Food Trip
Larsians is a food haven.

Lechon Cebu is definitely a must-eat. Instead of  sweet liver sauce they use vinegar as its dip.

2. Temple Hoping
Taoist Temple
*This is the largest Buddhist temple in the Philippines and is one of the top tourist spots in Cebu City. Try their free herb tea. It's so refreshing hihi.

Fo Guang San Chu Un Temple
* If you want to meditate and know Buddhism more ,this is the best place to be. It's more peaceful and serene here than in Taoist.

The head monk gave us these yey!

3. Take a tour from  the past.
The Queen City of the South is indeed home of  cultural and historical sites. You can do a  DIY Heritage walk tour since these sites are in proximity with each other. You can do our suggested heritage trail below.
